The Agrivoltaic And Operational Group – composed of Greenar; AICIA, a technology center linked to the Higher Technical School of Engineering of Seville; the Covidesa agricultural cooperative; and the non-profit environmental association Filosolar – will work in Andalusia to promote agrivoltaics, a technique that combines agriculture with the production of solar energy on the same land. Its objective is to make better use of the land, reduce water use and promote rural development. The project, financed with European funds and the Regional Government of Andalusia, includes the creation of a pilot with crops such as olive groves, and will conclude in 2025 with a guide to good practices for farmers.
